Shankar National School Organizes Social Exhibition 2082

Shankar National School, located in Dadhikot, Suryabinayak Municipality-4 of Bhaktapur, organized the “Our Surroundings and Social Exhibition–2082” on Friday. The event was conducted with the participation of students from Grade 1 to Grade 7, along with their teachers.

According to the school, the exhibition was designed to connect classroom learning with practical activities. Based on lessons taught in classes, students have been engaged in various monthly and weekly activities, linking subjects with experimental and project-based learning.

The program hall of the school was chosen as the venue for the exhibition.

Exhibition Stalls and Displays

Each grade represented its class by setting up different stalls. Visitors were able to observe a variety of themes and materials such as:

• Community and professional-economic activities

• Our Earth

• Civic awareness

• Art and culture

• Our past

• Our community

• Traditional tools

• Festivals and customs

Traditional items like ethnic dresses, Doko (bamboo basket), Namlo (head strap), Tuki (oil lamp), radios, and Halo-Juwa (plow and yoke) were also displayed alongside environmental awareness exhibits.

Students stationed at the stalls explained the displayed items and concepts to visitors.

The exhibition also featured informative play cards. Learning units were presented in project and experimental formats, making the event both educational and interactive.

Mukunda Adhikari, the school’s Extra-Curricular Activities In-Charge, stated that the aim of the exhibition was not only to enhance students’ knowledge but also to improve presentation skills, socialization, and holistic understanding of subject matters.

School Principal Sharan Chaulagain remarked that such extra-curricular activities provide achievement-oriented learning through practical approaches without dispute. He also shared that the school plans to organize its next exhibition focusing on Mathematics.
