The Government of Nepal is set to conduct free online training to provide young people with practical skills in artificial intelligence (AI). The training, titled "Effective Use of AI and Prompt Writing," will be organized on 2083 Kartik 18 and 19 (November 4-5, 2026) through the National Academy of Vocational Training under the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment.

Training Schedule and Participation

The training will be conducted in four separate sessions. The sessions will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Each participant will be assigned to one of the four sessions. With 500 participants in each session, up to 2,000 young people will have the opportunity to attend the free training.

What Will Participants Learn?

During the training, participants will learn how to use major AI tools, including ChatGPT and Claude, effectively and how to write clear and useful prompts.

They will also receive practical instruction on using AI to prepare professional emails, notes, meeting decisions, and engaging presentations.

The ministry stated that the training will also cover image and short-video creation, responsible AI use, and methods for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated information.

The ministry aims to provide young people with the skills needed to use AI technology appropriately in education, employment, and professional activities.

Minister's Statement and Ministry's Objectives

Minister for Youth, Labour and Employment Ramji Yadav emphasized the importance of making AI technology accessible to all young people.

"Knowledge and skills related to AI should not remain limited to a few individuals. As technology develops, the opportunities it creates must reach young people across the country," Minister Yadav said.

"Our goal is to conduct more advanced training programs through both online and in-person methods in the coming days, enabling a large number of young people across the country to develop the skills and capabilities needed to use AI technology," he added.

Conducting live training through an online platform is a new practice for the ministry. The ministry expects the experience gained from this program to help improve the accessibility and effectiveness of future online and skills-based training programs conducted across the country.

Application Process

Young people interested in participating in the training can submit their applications online.

According to the National Academy of Vocational Training, selected applicants will be informed of their assigned training sessions before the program begins.
