Kathmandu Metropolitan City to Conduct City Police Firefighter Skill Test on 2083/02/27
Kathmandu — Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Office of the Municipal Executive, Kamaladi, Kathmandu, has published a notice regarding participation in the skill test for the City Police (Firefighter) post. The notice issued by the Administration Department mentions Letter No. 082/083, while the dispatch number has been left blank.
The notice was published on Tuesday, 2083/02/19. The Metropolitan City has stated that the skill test will be conducted for applicants who were successful in the preliminary health check-up and physical test held on 2082/12/30 for the approved applicants of the City Police (Firefighter) post under Advertisement No. 06-082/083, published on 2082/07/20.
The notice states that candidates who do not appear and participate at the specified time will not be given another opportunity to participate in the examination later.
Skill Test Criteria
The skill test will be a practical examination. The full marks for the examination have been fixed at 100, and the pass marks have been fixed at 40. Each activity will carry a maximum of 20 marks.

Fire Control and Extinguishing: Practical examination on controlling fire using water, foam, or other means.

Rescue Work: Rescuing persons from fire or disaster situations, dummy rescue, ladder use, and related activities.

Equipment Operation: Connecting hose pipes, operating pumps, and using firefighting equipment.

Emergency Response and Coordination: Ability to work in a group, follow orders, and make quick decisions.

Ability to Adopt Safety and Precautionary Measures: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and risk-reduction behavior.
Examination Venue, Time and Date
The skill test will be held at Rastriya Sabha Griha, Pradarshani Marg, Kathmandu.
The examination will be conducted from 8:00 AM on Wednesday, 2083/02/27. Examinees must be present compulsorily by 7:30 AM.
Mandatory Documents
Examinees must compulsorily bring their admit card and Nepali citizenship certificate.
The Metropolitan City has stated that only applicants who pass the skill test will undergo a detailed health examination. The venue, time, and date of the health examination will be as prescribed by the office.
