Time-Bound Home Exam Rules of Purbanchal University:

Purbanchal University has prepared the rules to be followed by the campus/college and the candidates while conducting the 'Time Bound Home Exam'. Due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), students are unable to attend the center and take the exam.

Controller of Examinations Prof. Dr. Surya Prasad Sangraula informed that undergraduate and postgraduate examinations will be conducted through alternative methods under the semester system.

Purbanchal University has made 7-point rules to be followed by the campus/college and 16-point rules to be followed by the examinees during the examination.

Rules to be followed by College / Campus in Time-bound Home Exam:

1. While conducting the examination under this method, a person nominated by the Campus Head or Campus Head of the concerned campus/college will be appointed as the Central Chairperson.

2. The registration number, roll number, and necessary instructions of the students provided by the Examination Management Office should be informed by the Central Chairperson to all the candidates at least 5 (five) days before the commencement of the examination.

3. Question Paper as per the examination schedule At least 30 (thirty) minutes before the time of conducting the examination, the question paper will be sent to the official Email ID of the concerned Campus (Central Chairperson) by the Examination Management Office. The question paper should be sent to the examinee by the Central Chairperson 15 (fifteen) minutes in advance to the Email ID of the examinee.

4. The campus will have to prepare the attendance details of the examinees on the basis of the answer sheets sent by the examinees.

5. After the time given to the examinees by preparing the folder according to the roll number of the answer books received from the examinees within the prescribed time; Within 4 (four) hours, the concerned head of the center should verify the email as per the attendance details, make a zip file, prepare the name of the file as per the details and send it to the official email ID specified by the examination management office.

6. There will be an arrangement of teachers and staff as per the details in the examination conducted according to this method.

  • Head of Center - 1 (one) per center per day
  • Assistant Head of Center - 1 (one) per program per day
  • Staff - 1 (one) per center per day
  • Support staff - 1 (one) per center per day

7. The remuneration of the examination conducted according to this method will be as per the rules of the university.

Rules to be followed by the candidates in the Time-bound Home Exam

1. In order to participate in the examination, as per the rules, every candidate must fill the examination form and get the roll number from the examination management office. Candidates who have not filled the examination form will not be allowed to participate in the examination.

2. Each candidate must submit their Authorized Email ID to their campus at least 10 days before the start of the exam. Question Paper will be received through Campus in the same Email ID. Also, the scan/photo of the answer sheet should be sent to the authorized Email ID of your campus/college through the same Email ID.

3. In order to participate in this type of exam, the examinee himself/herself will have to arrange the necessary materials like Foolscape Paper / A4 Size Photocopy Paper / Black Pen, Internet, Electricity, etc.

4. Under this examination method, the candidates will be able to join the examination from the place of their residence.

5. Candidates appearing for this examination method will receive a question paper on their authorized Email ID from the respective campus exactly 15 minutes before the examination time/date.

6. To the right and left of the sheets used by the examinees while writing the answer according to the question paper received; Leave a margin of at least 1 inch at the bottom and top and write only one side.

7. Examiners should place their roll number, subject, program, level, semester, and sheet no. On the right side of each page of their answer sheet. It must be mentioned otherwise the examinee will be self-accountable. |

8. When writing the answer to each question, the examiner must write the question paper clearly.

9. The answer script should be handwritten by the examinee himself. If found to be written by others, typed on a computer, carbon copied, copied from a book, or any other method used, such answer sheets will be automatically discarded.

10. Regular candidates who have not been able to participate in the examination conducted under this method will be able to participate in the examination as regular candidates in the next examination. The necessary decision will be made after evaluating the situation after receiving all the details by tracing the contact of the students through the concerned campus regarding the partial candidates.

11. In the extra 2 hours after the end of the exam, each examinee should be able to scan/photograph the answer sheet he/she has written and sent it to the authorized Email ID of his / her campus/college.

12. At the end of the exam time, the examinee will have to attach a scan/photo of each page he/she has written and sent his / her Semester_Subject_Roll No to the subject of the email.

13. According to this examination method, the marks of the candidates appearing in the examination will not be re-used and a copy of the answer sheet will not be available.

14. Objective Question Paper (MCQ) regarding the format of Question Paper will not be in this examination. The distribution of points in that section will be adjusted proportionally to the thematic questions.

15. In the case of experimental testing, it will be conducted only after the current epidemic situation is normalized.

16. Regarding the question paper format, the question paper will be in accordance with the current format.

Tips for Examiners:

1. To reduce the file size while sending the answer sheet, take a photo and send it directly.

2. As it may take more time, it seems useful to use Scan App like Microsoft Lens / Cam Scanner to consume less size.
