Tribhuvan University Announces Special Exam for Bhotekoshi Flood-Affected Examinees
The Office of the Registrar at Tribhuvan University (TU) will conduct a special examination for examinees directly affected by the flood in the Rasuwagadhi Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa District. TU published a highly urgent notice on Bhadra 18, 2083, stating that an examination will be conducted within the second week of Asoj 2083 for flood-affected examinees who, due to difficult circumstances, are unable to participate even under the revised examination schedule.
Following the natural disaster caused by the severe flood in the Rasuwagadhi Bhotekoshi River and downstream areas on Bhadra 10, 2083, all examinations conducted by the TU Office of the Controller of Examinations and the concerned Dean's Offices were postponed. The postponed examinations will be conducted according to the revised schedules published by the Office of the Controller of Examinations and the respective Dean's Offices. More information on the university's examination structure is available through the Tribhuvan University Examination System.
However, TU stated that this special arrangement will apply only to examinees directly affected by the flood who are facing difficult circumstances and may also be unable to attend examinations under the revised schedule. These include injured examinees admitted to hospitals for treatment and those observing mourning rites after losing family members, among others affected by the disaster.
Documents Required to Participate in the Special Examination
Affected examinees must submit certified documents to participate in the examination under this arrangement.
-
For injured patients: A document confirming hospital admission.
-
For those observing mourning rites or rendered homeless: Certified documents from the concerned local authority.
Based on these certified documents, examinations conducted by the TU Office of the Controller of Examinations will be held only at the designated examination centers specified in the schedule published by the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Balkhu. For examinations under the concerned Dean's Offices, the examinations will likewise be conducted only at the examination centers specified in the schedules published by the respective Dean's Offices.
The notice issued by Registrar Dr. Rabindra Shivakoti states that this special examination will be conducted in the same manner as a regular examination.
