Pokhara University Decides to Publish Separate Exam Schedule for Flood-Affected Students
Pokhara University, Office of the Controller of Examinations, has decided to publish a separate examination schedule at an appropriate time for students who are directly affected by the severe flooding in the Bhotekoshi River and are unable to participate in the examinations commencing from Bhadra 22, 2083. The Office of the Controller of Examinations provided this information through a notice issued on 2083.05.21.
According to the notice, the University had published its first notice on 2083.05.11 to collect details of students studying at colleges directly affected by the severe Bhotekoshi flood. Subsequently, another notice was issued on 2083.05.17 for the purpose of arranging a separate examination schedule for students who would be unable to sit the examinations commencing from Bhadra 22 due to the flood.
Following an examination of the applications and details received on the basis of those notices, only five students were found to have been directly affected and unable to participate in the examination scheduled for Bhadra 22. A separate examination schedule for these five students will therefore be published at an appropriate time.
The Office stated that a total of 19 applications and sets of details were received through the Email and WhatsApp number provided for collecting the information. Of the submissions received, students associated with 10 applications were not found to have been directly affected by the flood.
The students covered by the remaining four applications were directly affected by the flood. However, when contacted by the Office by telephone, they stated that they would participate in the regular examinations commencing from Bhadra 22, 2083.
