Notice for Submission of Expression of Interest for Agricultural Graduate (Intern) Deployment

Nepal Government, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project, Program Management Unit, Khumaltar, Lalitpur.

Under the approved annual program for the fiscal year 2082/83, the Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project has a grant program for deploying agricultural graduates (interns). Eligible institutions—universities, academic institutions, or colleges recognized by the Government of Nepal—whose agricultural graduate course curriculum includes an internship, are invited to submit an expression of interest in a sealed envelope within 30 days from the date of publication of this notice.

If the last day falls on a public holiday, submission will be accepted on the following working day within office hours.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents under the Agricultural Graduate Intern Operation Procedure, 2074:

• Application for expression of interest.

• Detailed profile of the institution.

• Agricultural graduate course curriculum.

• A work plan with a detailed cost estimate, including:

  • Number of agricultural interns available for this fiscal year.

  • Advisory committee details.

  • Orientation workshop plans.

  • Seminar schedule.

  • Action research activities.

  • Package of practice for farmer-friendly technology.

• Audit report of grant funds received in previous years (if participated before) along with details of unresolved irregularities.

• Information on the ability to operate the program in the first or second phase.

• Any other relevant documents.

1. The detailed Terms of Reference (ToR) for agricultural interns and other information can be obtained from the Agricultural Graduate Intern Operation Procedure, 2074 available on the official website of the Program Management Unit, Khumaltar, Lalitpur.

2. The internship operation will be conducted as per the documents of this program, the Agricultural Graduate Intern Operation Procedure, 2074, and prevailing laws.

3. The program may be conducted in two phases if required:

   • First Phase: Kartik to Falgun.

   • Second Phase: Magh to Jestha.

4. The Program Management Unit reserves the right to operate internships according to the phases based on the course curriculum of the respective university, academic institution, or college.
