Two outstanding students from Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality, Saptari, have been honored with the Amarnath Jha Memorial Award 2082.

The Amarnath Jha Memorial Trust, in memory of the late Principal Jha, organized a program on Monday to mark his second memorial day. During the program, one girl and one boy student from Tilathi Koiladi who achieved the highest marks in last year’s SEE examination were awarded cash prizes and certificates.

The award recipients are Pallavi Thakur, a student of Public Secondary School Launiya Tilathi, and Omnarayan Yadav, a student of Janata Secondary School Topa. Both secured the highest marks from the rural municipality in SEE 2081.

The chief guest of the event, Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality Chairperson Arun Kumar Mandal, and special guest, social worker Engineer Shailendra Mohan Jha, jointly handed over certificates along with a cash prize of NPR 25,500 each to the awardees.

Paying tribute to the late Principal Amarnath Jha, Chairperson Mandal expressed that all people’s representatives are serious about the development of education. He also remarked that none of the 17 schools within the municipality are currently facing shortages of manpower or infrastructure, and expressed confidence that better results will be achieved in the coming days.

“Previously, schools lacked physical infrastructure and teachers, but now this is not the case,” he said. “For good results, it is necessary for parents to regularly send their children to school.”

JSP Central Member Dr. Babi Singh Yadav, Tilathi Koiladi Ward No. 1 Chairperson Dineshwar Mishra, Ward No. 2 Chairperson Kamal Mandal, Award Selection Committee Coordinator Dayakant Jha, member Niraj Mukti, Advisor Shambhu Jha, and others also spoke about the educational and social contributions of the late Principal Jha.
