Committee Formed to Select Vice-Chancellor and Registrar
A three-member recommendation committee has been formed to select the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of Martyr Dasharath Chand University of Health Science (MDCUHS).
The meeting of the University Assembly (Senate), held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel, decided to form the committee under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Jayaraj Awasthi.
Prof. Dr. Lochana Shrestha and Prof. Dr. Dinesh Lamsal have been appointed as members of the committee. Committee Coordinator Prof. Dr. Awasthi is also the founding Vice-Chancellor of Far-Western University.
According to the university, the committee was formed in accordance with the Martyr Dasharath Chand University of Health Science Act, 2082.
The meeting also nominated six University Assembly members (senators), ensuring representation from various sectors. Distinguished individuals from the fields of science and technology, education, law, management, anthropology, and sociology, including two women, have been included in the Senate.
Meanwhile, the meeting expressed gratitude to all senators who had previously contributed as members of the University Assembly.
