Eight Members Appointed to Nursing and Pharmacy Councils

Eight Members Appointed to Vacant Posts in Nepal Nursing and Pharmacy Councils

Eight members have been appointed to vacant positions in the Nepal Nursing Council and Nepal Pharmacy Council.

The Ministry of Health and Food Sanitation appointed four members to each council, bringing the total number of new appointments to eight.

The newly appointed members took the oath of office and secrecy before Minister for Health and Food Sanitation Nisha Mehta. Minister Mehta administered the oath during a program held at the ministry.

According to the ministry, the newly appointed members are as follows.

  • Gyanu Maharjan

  • Monika Jaiswal

  • Shruti Shah

  • Archana Pandey Bista

New Members of Nepal Pharmacy Council

  • Sangita Shakya

  • Bishnu Regmi

  • Roshani Prajapati

  • Niraj Bartaula

Following the oath-taking ceremony, the newly appointed members said they would remain committed to contributing to the development and strengthening of Nepal’s nursing and midwifery sector.

The addition of the new members is expected to support the Nursing Council’s work in regulating the nursing profession, maintaining professional standards and helping ensure quality services.

Similarly, the appointments to the Pharmacy Council are expected to contribute to the regulation of the pharmacy profession and efforts to ensure safe and quality pharmaceutical services.
