Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal Launches Business Development Center on International Women’s Day

The Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal recently announced the launch of a Business Development Center on the occasion of the 113th International Women's Day. The center aims to provide necessary services and support to potential and existing women entrepreneurs in Nepal.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2023, as declared by the United Nations, is "Digital: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality". In line with this, the Business Development Center will provide assistance in various areas related to entrepreneurship, including new business registration, financial and human resource audits, legal consultation, product branding and marketing, business plan development, business continuity, and management assistance.

Moreover, the center will also offer training programs on digital financial literacy and digital marketing courses for sheep development. It will provide professional consulting services and act as a platform to encourage production among women entrepreneurs.

The special guest of the launching event, Ravi Peiris of ILO Nepal, praised the Federation for introducing the concept of a Business Development Center in Nepal. She expressed her hope that the center would be instrumental in supporting the social and economic development of entrepreneurial women in Nepal. She added that the center's operations will make it easier for women entrepreneurs to develop their businesses through digitalization.

The program's chief guest was Ramkumar Phuyal, a member of the National Planning Commission. He expressed the government's commitment to support the social and economic development of women entrepreneurs in Nepal. He pledged to work with the Federation to give traditional businesses of women entrepreneurs a new form by mobilizing government funds.

The Business Development Center is the first of its kind in Nepal and is expected to be a game-changer for women entrepreneurs in the country. The center's establishment is a significant milestone for the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal, which has been promoting and supporting women entrepreneurs in Nepal since its inception in 2060.

In the launching event, awards and certificates were also distributed to three outstanding women entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions in the field of digitization. Moreover, the Federation also conducted a musical program for fundraising on the occasion of International Women's Day.
