Panchakanya Gaupalika Started Online Teacher Training for Primary Level:

Panchakanya Gaupalika of Nuwakot district has started an eight-day online teacher training targeting primary teachers in captivity. Online training has been started in more than two dozen schools in Panchkanya Rural Municipality. There are 27 basic and secondary schools in this rural municipality.

Chakradev Joshi, head of the education department, said that the education department has been without staff for a long time and recently after the management of the staff in the education department, the rural municipality has started online training programs with the objective of advancing education in a new and scientific way.

From this year, the government has implemented an integrated curriculum in class 1, but due to COVID-19, the teaching has not started yet. Even after the government operates schools, it will be difficult for teachers to enter the classroom and teach the changed curriculum. The village municipality has stated that it is going to train the teachers keeping in view the same situation.

Village Municipality Chairman Tej Bahadur Tamang said that efforts have been made to improve the basic level from the primary level by making the basic level a pillar of education. Education Branch Coordinator Rambabu Parajuli said that the rural municipality has also given priority to vocational education.

Naresh Pudasaini, chief administrative officer of the rural municipality, said that there is a plan to conduct quarantine education for classes 9, 10, 11, and 12 in case the situation worsens and the academic year is wasted. In COVID-19 Pandemic, the rural municipality has given top priority to agribusiness in its policies and programs and to implement it in practice, Indrayani Krishi Mav. Chairman of Ward No. 1 Maninath Lamichhane said that the operation is underway.

The training is being conducted with the technical assistance of Room to Read with the participation of language teachers from all 27 schools. The training program facilitated by Rudek Nepal will be conducted from August 19 to 20, 2076, said Joshi, Education Officer of Panchkanya Village Municipality. The training program will be facilitated from Room to Read by Ekraj Koirala, Baturam Bhandari, Rajan Sapkota, and LB Khadka from the Curriculum Development Center.
