Prof. Prabal Raj Pokharel Appointed as the Head of CDJMC Tribhuvan University

Prof. Prabal Raj Pokharel has been appointed as the Head of Central Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (CDJMC) of Tribhuvan University. According to the university, after accepting the resignation of the previous head, Prof. Chiranjeevi Khanal, the vice chancellor of the university, Prof. Dr. Kesharjung Baral, has appointed Pokharel as the head of the department for three months with effect from 23rd Baisakh.

Prof. Pokharel, who was the head of the same department sixteen years ago, has been teaching journalism for a long time. Reacting after being appointed as the head of the department, Professor Pokharel emphasized that the state should increase its investment in the promotion, academic upgrading and study research, as well as technical and human resources, in the field of journalism, which is considered as the fourth part of the state.
