
Ranasmriti Award 2082 Honours Writer Saraswati Shrestha
The Ranasmriti Award Foundation marked its 33rd anniversary by honoring writer Saraswati Shrestha with the Ranasmriti Award 2082. She received a cash prize of ten thousand rupees along with a ceremonial shawl.
Saraswati Shrestha was born in Sotipasal, Lamjung (Madhya Nepal Municipality-3) and later settled in Pokhara, which became her literary home. Since the 2040s (1980s), she has remained a steady voice in Nepali literature. Her works include:

At the award ceremony, writer Kaji Roshan praised Shrestha’s enduring contribution to Nepali poetry. He noted that her creations and literary talent hold a special place in the country’s literary landscape, making the award a fitting tribute.
The event also featured good wishes from members of the academic and local community. Kamal Bohora, Chairperson of the Rudrepipal Secondary School Management Committee, and Sita Nepali, Acting Principal, along with others, expressed their hopes for Shrestha’s continued success in her literary journey.
