
Kathmandu, Jestha 5—The “One School, One Nurse” program was implemented in 1,387 schools during the fiscal year 2080/81 in Nepal.
This data is stated in the Annual Health Report 2080/81 published by the Department of Health Services.
Program Coverage by Administration
According to the report:

260 schools (19%) were covered under the Nursing and Social Security Division

1,127 schools were covered under provincial governments

Some private schools have also adopted the program

The program saw the highest implementation in Bagmati Province:

Background of the Program
The government initiated the “One School, One Nurse” program as a pilot in Bagmati Province during the fiscal year 2076/77.
It was designed to address health issues within schools and spread health awareness to parents through students.
