
Shubhasher Rai Foundation Honors Teachers and Student
The “Shubhasher Rai Memorial Foundation” has honored two teachers who contributed to educational advancement in the district. In addition, the foundation awarded one meritorious student and honored six others.
The honors were presented from a permanent fund of NPR 1,111,111 established four years ago in memory of the late teacher Shubhasher Rai, who was born in Chipti, Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality–14, and served 43 years in teaching. The fund was set up by 19 family members, each contributing 0.5 percent of their annual income.
Under the “Shubhasher Rai District Excellent Teacher Award 2082,” Prem Kumar Shrestha, former principal of Panchakanya Secondary School, and Padam Prasad Acharya, teacher of Panch Secondary School, were awarded. Each received NPR 27,777.
Through the “Shubhasher Rai Khotang District Teacher Leadership Honor 2082,” Binda Thapa, principal of Siddheshwari Basic School Mudey, and Krishna Bahadur Gurung, principal of Kalika Secondary School, were honored.
The “Shubhasher Rai Excellent School Management Honor 2082” was awarded to Ambar Bahadur Basnet, Chairperson of Bhagawati Dinanath Secondary School. The “Shubhasher Rai District Excellent Principal Honor 2082” was conferred on Tika Ram Rai, principal of Kalika Residential Basic School.
Similarly, the “Shubhasher Rai Long Teaching Service Honor 2082” was awarded to Megh Raj Phuyal, teacher of Devisthan Basic School, while the “Shubhasher Rai Excellent Student Award 2082” was presented to Diya Rai, a student of Champawati Secondary School.
