Book Launch: Transforming Nepal – Balancing Growth with Equity

The book titled ‘Transforming Nepal: Balancing Growth with Equity’ authored by Professor Pushkar Bajracharya, Mohan Das Manandhar, and Rojan Bajracharya has been officially launched.

At a program held today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh, former Finance Minister Surendra Pandey, and Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University Professor Achyut Wagle jointly unveiled the book.

Deputy Prime Minister Singh stated that the book will serve as an important knowledge resource for advancing contemporary public discourse in Nepal. He expressed hope that it would guide future planning, policy formulation, and implementation in the country.

Former Finance Minister Surendra Pandey remarked that although there has been extensive political debate on Nepal’s development, economic discussion has been lacking.

  • “This book arrives at a timely moment when economic discourse is essential,” he said.

  • “It will help advance such debates in a fresh direction.”

Vice Chancellor Wagle on Scholarly Value

Kathmandu University Vice Chancellor Professor Achyut Wagle highlighted that the book synthesizes and references numerous previous publications and research:
