Tribhuvan University (TU) has released the academic calendar for the session beginning in 2082. On Tuesday, TU published the calendar for the bachelor’s annual and semester systems and the master’s semester system.

Rector Prof. Dr. Khadga KC stated that the calendar was issued following a decision of TU’s Academic Council. He said the calendar aims to ensure timely classes, examinations, and publication of results.

He added that TU has already directed its 64 constituent and affiliated campuses and 44 central bodies to conduct classes, examinations, and publish results in line with the calendar.

Scope

TU has published the calendar for:

• Bachelor’s four-year annual program

• Bachelor’s eight-semester system

• Master’s four-semester system

Bachelor’s Semester System (Eight Semesters)

• Admission test application: within Kartik, 2082

• Entrance examination, admission, and start of classes: Mangsir, 2082

• First-semester examination: within Chaitra, 2082

• First-semester results: Asar, 2082

The calendar outlines enrollment, class operation, examinations, and results for all eight semesters within the prescribed period. It is designed to complete eight semesters in four years.

• Eighth-semester classes: Magh, 2086

• Eighth-semester examination: Jestha, 2087

• Eighth-semester results: Bhadra, 2087

Bachelor’s Annual System (Four Years)

• Admissions: Shrawan to Mangsir

• Start of classes: from Mangsir

• Examination form submission: Baisakh, 2083

• Examinations: Shrawan, 2083

• Results publication: Kartik, 2083

TU’s target is to complete the four-year annual program by Chaitra, 2085.

• Fourth-year classes start: Chaitra, 2084

• Examination form submission (Fourth year): Kartik, 2085

• Examinations (Fourth year): Poush, 2085

• Results (Fourth year): Chaitra, 2085

Master’s Semester System (Four Semesters)

• Form distribution for first-semester admissions: Mangsir, 2082

• Entrance examination: Poush, 2082

• Start of classes: from Magh, 2082

• Examinations: Jestha (following cycle)

• Results publication: Bhadra, 2083

Students admitted in 2082 will complete their studies by Mangsir, 2084.
