TU Invites Applications for 67th Annual Day Awards
Tribhuvan University, Coordination Division under the Office of the Rector, has invited applications from eligible students for various cash awards and certificates to be distributed on the occasion of TU’s 67th Annual Day.
According to the notice published on 2082/01/24, students who meet the prescribed criteria for FY 2081/082, from Shrawan 2081 to the end of Ashad 2082, must submit their applications within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice.
Students must submit their applications to the concerned Dean’s Office through a letter from the campus/department where they studied. The application must include two copies each of the thesis, personal details, passport-size photograph, copy of citizenship certificate, copies of academic qualification certificates, copy of the postgraduate-level transcript, and copy of the original certificate.
Applications received by the concerned Dean’s Office within the prescribed 15 days must be forwarded by the Dean’s Offices to the Coordination Division with recommendations within 5 days.
The notice states that applications received without fulfilling the required procedure or after the deadline will not be processed. After evaluation of the submitted theses, students found to be the best will be awarded, and the remaining theses will be returned. Tribhuvan University reserves the final authority to make decisions regarding the awards.
Award Criteria and Amounts
1. Shri Krishnachandra Regmi Award
Quota: 1
Students under the Institute of Science and Technology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Law must have passed the postgraduate level by completing thesis work on a subject related to “Nepal.”
Award: Certificate and cash prize of Rs. 5,001/-
In words: Five thousand rupees only
2. Shri Mahendra-Mandevi Regmi Award
Quota: 1
Students under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences must have passed the postgraduate level by completing thesis work in “Economics or History.”
Award: Certificate and cash prize of Rs. 20,001/-
In words: Twenty thousand one rupees only
3. Shri Babukrishna Rijal Award
Quota: 1
Students under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences must have passed the postgraduate level in the First Division by completing excellent thesis work in “Nepali, History, Culture and Archaeology.”
Award: Certificate and cash prize of Rs. 25,001/-

4. Vaidya Bishweshwar Chataut Memorial Award
Quota: 3
Quota allocation: Linguistics – 1, Journalism – 1, and Disability – 1
For Linguistics and Journalism, postgraduate-level students from constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences must have secured the highest marks in the regular final examination conducted by TU for the admission group 2077–2079, without failing any subject and by passing all subjects of each part in a single attempt.
In addition, among students with disabilities at the bachelor’s level under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, one student who secured the highest position must have participated in the 2080 convocation ceremony and must have been listed in the grace list.
Award: Certificate and cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- per person

Required Documents and Special Conditions
The notice states that an admission verification letter from the concerned campus must be submitted.
Students applying for the Vaidya Bishweshwar Chataut Memorial Award are not required to submit a thesis.
All the above-mentioned documents must be submitted compulsorily along with the application.
