NRNA Offers Full MBBS Scholarships to Two Students

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has announced that it will provide full scholarships for two Nepali students to study MBBS. The association is offering this opportunity for a six-year MBBS program in collaboration with Asia International University in Uzbekistan.

NRNA stated that it has taken this initiative after observing that, due to a shortage of human resources in Nepal’s health sector, patients are not receiving timely treatment. It also noted that a lack of skilled health workers is particularly evident in primary health centers.

Target Group and Eligibility

This scholarship is primarily aimed at talented students who are financially disadvantaged.

To be eligible, applicants must have passed the entrance examination conducted by Nepal’s Medical Education Commission.

Application Deadline and Selection Exam

Interested students can apply until December 23, 2025.

The selection examination for the scholarship will be held on January 3, 2026, at Pulchowk Engineering Campus in Lalitpur. The association stated that the exam will be based on the Medical Education Commission’s format.

Scholarship Coverage and Service Requirement

The university will bear the student’s entire expenses, including food and accommodation.

However, the association stated that after completing the studies, the student must mandatorily return to Nepal and provide service in the health sector for a minimum of two years.
