Pokhara University Directs Colleges to Proceed with Admissions Only After Reserving Scholarship Seats
Pokhara University has directed its constituent, jointly constituent, and affiliated schools and colleges to proceed with student admissions for the remaining seats only after reserving the prescribed number of seats for scholarships. The University issued the directive through a notice published on 30 Ashadh 2083.
According to the notice issued by University Registrar Prof. Hari Bahadur Khadka, all constituent and jointly constituent schools and colleges must reserve 20 percent of their approved student quota for students selected under the scholarship programme.
Similarly, affiliated colleges must reserve 10 percent of their approved student quota and proceed with admissions only for the remaining seats.
Under the Pokhara University Scholarship Regulations, 2065, the University conducts a centralised examination every year, selects students for tuition-free scholarship study, and assigns them to the relevant schools and colleges.
The University has also stated that applications have been invited from eligible Nepali citizens for the academic year 2083/084.
Upcoming Senate to Decide on Scholarships for Those Injured in GenZ Protests
According to the note included in the notice, scholarships for persons injured or disabled during the GenZ protests, or for members of their families, will be provided in accordance with the decision of the upcoming Pokhara University Senate.
