Overview
Chitwan Secondary School (चितवन माध्यमिक विद्यालय, चितवन) was established in 1954 AD (2011 BS) as a community based educational institution, which is situated in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal. It is affiliated to the National Examination Board (NEB) and approved by the Ministry of Education. It offers educational programs from ECD to Grade 10 and plus two programs under the Management, Science, and Education streams.
Chitwan Secondary School provides up to secondary level education with moderate fee structures and also provides a scholarship scheme for financially weak and deserving students.
Chitwan district, located in the center of Nepal, is moving forward in terms of the overall development. Located in an important place in the district, this school is the oldest school established on the 1st of Magh, 2011 with the advent of democracy. The school, which was transformed into a high school in 2018 BS, will have SLC from 2020. So far, more than 3,000 students have been included in the examination. Has succeeded in passing the exam.
It is well known that this school has completed 20 years of its glorious history and has celebrated the year 2060 BS as the 'Golden Jubilee' year. The school has a well-equipped building with various facilities for transportation, communication, and human activities.
The school owns about 10 bighas of land, which the school has been striving to use for the physical and educational upliftment of the school. As per the policy of standardizing the school with the changing environment, classes of management and education faculty have been conducted at the higher secondary level (10 + 2) for the last 6 years and science subjects are also being taught from this academic session.
Goals and Objectives:
Considering education as the cornerstone of practical life, the school has adopted the following objectives to produce manpower according to the changing aspirations:
1) To provide accessible quality education
2) To expand access to higher education to women, Dalits, Janajatis and backward classes,
3) To make education skillful and practical,
4) Increase creativity in students,
5) For the upliftment of the nation, it is aimed to produce skilled manpower, expand the programs of technical education by emphasizing creative, vocational, and employment-oriented education and in the near future, to start graduate-level education and expand it as a college.

1) Clean drinking water, toilets, and playgrounds,
2) Standard classrooms, furniture, and educational environment,
3) 45 students in each section,
4) Arrangement of additional classes,
5) Provision of more scholarships,
6) Facilitated science and computer laboratory,
7) Adequate textbooks, reference books, Newspapers as well as other informative materials will be provided.
8) Special types of knowledge enhancement programs will be conducted from time to time for the self-improvement and capacity building of the students.
9) An arrangement has been made to give a 25 to 50 percent discount to the students for health treatment from Chitwan Medical College.
