Himalaya Boarding High School was founded on March 20, 2006 (2062 B.S.) as a Private educational institution located in Budhanilkantha - 3 Kathmandu, Nepal. It is affiliated to the national examination Board (NEB) and approved by the Ministry of Education. It offers education programs playgroup (PG) to Grade Ten (SEE).
Himalaya Boarding High School (HBHS)was incepted with the cherished goal of producing competent, dynamic and skilled manpower for any kind of managerial/ financial field who devotes themselves for contributing to the all-round development of the nation.
HBHS is an English medium school located at Budhanilkantha-3 on the lap of Shivapuri hill near Budhanilkantha temple which is far away from the polluted environment. The panoramic view of Kathmandu valley can be observed from its spacious area and the school management committee is fully concentrated to offer a multidimensional development of the children.
The school has nearly fifty distinguished scholars on its various sectors honored by their peers for important contributions and excellent performance to the field they study. Interaction with these experienced, motivated and hardworking educators offers the students the best possible foundation to execute their creativity, skills, and academics in a world where the theory and practical education mesh. The school has the glory to provide all kinds of academic facilities of nearly eight hundred pupils.
Mission: The HBHS mission involves helping the students to get deep information of subject matter that accomplishes quality education by providing the best possible education within the reach of Nepalese students, by raising the intellectual, academic and practical achievement of the young people as well as by facilitating the ethical norms and social responsibilities.
Vision: HBHS vision is to establish HBHS as the center of cultivating knowledge, skill, and confidence for bringing excellence in education which helps the individuals to exploit their inner capacity to contribute to the overall development of the nation.

The facilities provided to the students show the consciousness of the school toward the future of the students and the students only ensure about their future when they get all the facilities according to their interests and nature.
It gives entirely attention toward providing all the facilities that a student needs in his/her life for ensuring his/her life.
The HBHS has a library of its own to encourage students to develop an interest in a variety of subjects. It has a computer and science laboratory. For modern teaching, understanding the importance of audio-visual classes, accumulated many referential things, Well-furnished and ventilated rooms are the most fascinations of the school. It has different types of extra classes i.e. dancing, music, art, and sport. Besides these facilities, the school has two well-managed playgrounds where the students can play different types of games and sports.
Similarly, it has one well-equipped hall where comfortably conduct all kinds of inter-house and inter-school academic programs and extra-curricular activities (ECA) i.e. English and Nepali speech, debate, spelling, essay writing, handwriting and quiz contest including art, public speaking, music, dancing, singing, meditation, and yoga classes. Being alert towards the health of the students the school has managed to provide pure drinking water to the students.

Admission Procedure:
- Submit Application: First students/children from playgroup (PG) to grade nine need to submit the completed application form that can be drawn/ collected from the account desk of the school.
- Entrance Exam: The students have to take the formal entrance exam scheduled occasionally. This is usually scheduled from the last week of Chaitra to the last week of Baishakh.
- Get Enrolled: The candidates have to secure at least 50% marks to get enrolled but the students who fairly passed from this school need not appear in the entrance exam.
