Biometric Security Feature in Google Pay - New Google Feature

Google has made its digital payment platform Google Pay more secure and convenient than before. Google has added a biometric security feature (2.100) version to its app. Due to this new feature, the user will not need to enter a PIN for money transfer. Now in addition to the PIN, transactions can also be done through fingerprint and face recognition. Currently, this feature is only available on Android 10 devices.

Earlier, Google Pay users used the PIN to do transactions so that their transactions would be safe. But there will be no need to enter a PIN in the latest update. Google has added biometric API features to the app which is faster and safer than before. It is also seen as a replacement for the traditional PIN security feature.

This feature is available only on Android 10 devices. According to the Android Police report, the new update will soon be released for Android 9 users as well.

Users will see this option under the Saving Money section. Users will be able to switch from PIN to biometric security. Users will also be able to use both options to make payment more secure. This feature can be used only for money transfer. Cannot use it for NFC payments at stores.
