Facebook is Developing Facial Recognition-based Identity Verification

Facebook is now working on the facial recognition system to identify the user's face. This information is given by Code Explorer Jane Monchun Wong. They have told that this feature is being worked on to strengthen the privacy and security of users. Through this, the user's account will be verified, which will make it easy to find out whether the user is genuine or fake.

This is why this technique works

For a long time, Facebook has been trying to remove fake profiles from its platform. There have been many cases in which another user operates a profile containing someone's photo.

This problem is currently resolved through filtering and manual user reports but will be resolved in the future through the Facial Recognition System.

This feature will come in the mobile app

Currently, Facebook is preparing to include this system in its mobile app. Through this, the user's face will be scanned to find out whether the account you use is yours or someone else's.

The user's video selfie will be saved:

After the introduction of this feature, Facebook will scan the face thoroughly through the app to identify the user. After the rollout of this feature, Facebook will ask users to record a selfie video. Wong has stated that this process would be very similar to Apple's Face ID feature.

Data will be deleted within 30 days:

Facebook says that the company will also delete the data stored on the server within 30 days. Apart from this, it will also be ensured that nobody is doing it. At present, no information has been revealed about how long the facial recognition system feature will be released.
