Finance Ministry Calls Applications for Citizen Investment Trust Executive Director

The Selection and Recommendation Committee under the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance, has called for applications to fill the vacant post of Executive Director of Citizen Investment Trust through open competitive selection. The committee published the notice for the first time on Ashar 11, 2083, inviting applications from qualified and interested Nepali citizens within 21 days, i.e., by Ashar 31, 2083.

Applications must be submitted in a confidential sealed form during office hours to the Financial Sector Management and Public Enterprises Coordination Division at the Ministry of Finance, Singha Durbar.

Qualification and Experience

According to the notice, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must have the qualification and experience as per Section 42(1) of the Citizen Investment Trust Act, 2047.

  • Must not be disqualified as per Section 4 of the Standards Relating to the Appointment and Nomination of Officials and Members of Public Bodies Associated with the Ministry of Finance, 2073.

Documents and Process to Be Submitted with the Application

  • The documents and details specified under Section 3 of the “Procedure Relating to the Selection and Recommendation of the Executive Director of Citizen Investment Trust, 2083,” published on the Ministry of Finance website www.mof.gov.np, and the self-declaration application as per Section 4 must be self-attested and submitted by the applicant.

  • Copies of educational qualification, experience, and Nepali citizenship certificates must be submitted with the application.

  • Personal details and two copies of passport-size photographs must be submitted.

  • A business action plan prepared as per Section 6 of the said procedure, not exceeding 5,000 (five thousand) words, must be submitted.

  • All documents must be sealed in an envelope and submitted to the division. The outside of the envelope must clearly mention: “Application and Business Action Plan for the Executive Director of Citizen Investment Trust.”

Fee and Revenue Details

The original voucher showing payment of the application fee of Rs. 5,000 (in words: five thousand only) must be submitted. The details of the bank and account where the amount must be deposited are as follows:

Other Important Information

  • Presentation: Shortlisted candidates must also make a presentation of the business action plan submitted by them on the specified date and time.

  • Remuneration and Facilities: The Executive Director will receive monthly remuneration and other service facilities based on the conditions mentioned in the contract.

  • Information regarding the duties, responsibilities, powers of the Executive Director, and the matters to be included in the action plan can be obtained from the procedure.

  • The Selection and Recommendation Committee reserves the right to cancel any application received, with or without stating any reason.

  • The Ministry has stated that if false details or documents are submitted, the application will be cancelled and action will be taken as per prevailing law.
