HELVETAS NEPAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal.

HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal invites applications for the following positions from young and committed Nepali citizens for our anticipated TVET project that will be implemented in all seven provinces through the provincial government.

1. Position: Private Sector Engagement Specialist -1 no

Job Purpose:

Strengthen the engagement of the private sector in TVET by demonstrating incentives and building their capacity to engage in the training cycle. Lead to link TVET institutions with private sector firms and service providers as well as develop work-based learning programs for TVET students and graduates in partnership with the private sector.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Private Sector Engagement (PSE), preferably in a TVET program.
  • Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station: ProjectSupport Unit (PSU), Bhaktapur

2. Position: Operation Manager -1 no

Job Purpose:

Smooth execution of the overall administrative management, and procurement as well as supporting the Team Leader with strategic human resource management in the project.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration/Management or Commerce with 5 years of working experience in administration and procurement.
  • Experience providing backstopping support to provincial and local governments in training procurement will be an advantage. 
  • Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station: Project Support Unit (PSU), Bhaktapur

3. Position: Province Manager -1 no

Job Purpose:

Lead the province Project Support Unit. Work closely with the Project Coordination and Implementation Unit of the relevant province ministry. Provide technical assistance to the provincial government (PG) and local governments (LGs) for the implementation of the project activities. Collaborate with PG, LGs, private sectors, and their associations in respective provinces regarding the TVET. Facilitate to establishment TVET coordination unit/skill development unit within industry associations as necessary and be responsible for the respective province office's finance, administration, and human resource management.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

  • Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Science, Business Management, or any relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in project/program implementation with 3 years of working experience in a TVET sector with similar responsibilities with experience of managing finance, administration, and human resources of the project.
  • Working experience with industry associations/chambers will be an advantage.
  • Commitment toward gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station: Province headquarters ofSudur Paschim Province

4. Position: Technical Coordinator-TVET - 6 nos

Job Purpose:

Provide technical support to the provincial government and local government to develop and institutionalize TVET training approach. Provide capacity-building services to the province Project Coordination and Implementation Unit (PCIU) and partner industries as needed. Plan and manage the TVET-related program implementation against project outputs. Coordinate and capacitate province PCIU, implementing partners, training providers, and partner companies for the effective functioning of TVET-related activities.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

  • Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Science, Business Management, or any relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in project/program implementation, 2 years of working experience in the TVET sector with similar responsibilities.
  • Working experience with industry associations/chambers will be an advantage.
  • Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station: Province headquarters of any of seven provinces

5. Position: Technical Coordinator-M&E- 3 nos

Job Purpose:

Supporting the province governments (PGs) and local governments (LGs) in developing the Yearly Plan of Operation (YPO) of the project, process, and compliance monitoring and reporting. Supporting PGs and LGs in developing their TVET strategy in their periodic and annual plan. Collecting information and providing inputs for semi-annual and annual reports of the project and supporting the Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist in developing knowledge products.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in project/program implementation with 3 years of working experience in planning and result in monitoring with similar responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in providing technical assistance to provincial and local governments will be an advantage.
  • Commitment toward gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station: Province headquarters of any of the seven provinces with an extensive field visit

6. Position: Technical Officer-TVET - 11 nos

Job Purpose:

Training quality monitoring, both at institute and industry, and providing technical backstopping to the training institutes and partner industries for quality assurance. Supporting LGs and PGs on training procurement and training implementation. Supporting the TVET coordinator to build the capacity of PGs and LGs on TVET implementation and quality monitoring. Support LGs and PGs in training need assessment.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

  • Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Social Science, Business Management, or any relevant discipline.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the field of TVET.
  • Driving skill (two-wheelers) with a valid driving license is compulsory. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station: Province headquarters of any of the seven provinces with an extensive field visit

7. Position: Field Monitor - 3 nos

Job Purpose:

Field-level monitoring of the project activities including the training data collection, reporting and supporting PGs and LGs in their planning process while preparing the Yearly Plan of Operation (YPO).

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

  • Intermediate level (10+2) completion.
  • Two years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Driving skill (two-wheelers) with a valid driving license is compulsory.
  • Commitment toward gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station: Province headquarters of any of the seven provinces with an extensive field visit

8. Position: Finance and Administrative Officer-4 nos

Job Purpose:

Proper implementation of the financial management system of the respective province office of the project as per related policy manuals. Procurement and logistic management of respective province office. Support province manager in human resource management of the province.

Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Management, Commerce with 3 years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duty Station: Province headquarters of any of seven provinces

Duration: 15 July 2025.

Salary and Benefits: As per the rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal.

Service Objective:

  • Be responsible for driving, maintaining, and repairing the vehicle
  • Providing all possible support to the employees during field trips and travel.
  • Assist in other office work as needed.

  • Passed at least 10th standard At least 3 years of driving experience in hilly areas

10. Office Assistant – 5 (Five)

Assist in office Management

  • Cleaning the office and office space.

Qualification and work experience:

  • Having passed SLC At least 1 year of work experience in the relevant field
  • Obtained two wheeler driving license/certificate

Place of Work: Headquarters of any one of the seven provinces
