Jhapa District Post Office Announces Vacancies for Halkara and Hulaki Posts on Contract Basis

The District Post Office, Bhadrapur, Jhapa, has announced vacancies for the positions of Halkara (Messenger) and Hulaki (Mail Carrier) on a contract basis at various municipal and rural municipal post offices across the district.

The office published the vacancy notice on 2083/07/13 BS, inviting applications from interested and eligible Nepali citizens.

According to the notice, a total of six employees will be recruited for two positions. The vacancy details are as follows:

1. Halkara (Messenger) – 4 Positions

Educational Qualifications and Age Limit

Applicants must have passed the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) or an equivalent examination from a recognized educational institution.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and must not have exceeded 45 years of age as of the application deadline, 2083/08/03 BS.

Application Process, Deadline and Fee

• Application Deadline: Mangsir 3, 2083 BS (2083/08/03), within office hours. If the deadline falls on a public holiday, applications may be submitted on the next working day.

• Application Submission Office: District Post Office, Bhadrapur, Jhapa.

• Application Fee: NPR 200 (two hundred rupees only).

• Fee Payment Method: Applicants may pay the fee directly at the Revenue Collection Section of the District Post Office or deposit the amount through the Revenue Payment Portal at Rastriya Banijya Bank using the following details:

Applicants who deposit the fee through the bank must submit the original bank voucher as proof of payment.

Candidates applying for both positions must submit separate application forms and pay the prescribed application fee separately for each position.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents with their application forms:

1. Photocopy of Nepali citizenship certificate.

2. Certificates of minimum and higher educational qualifications.

3. Photocopy of a two-wheeler driving licence.

4. Documents confirming eligibility under inclusive categories and permanent address.

5. Original voucher confirming payment of the application fee.

6. Two passport-sized photographs.

Applicants who have completed basic computer training or possess relevant work experience may also submit copies of the corresponding certificates or supporting documents.

Selection Process and Service Benefits

Candidates will be selected through the following stages:

1. Preliminary shortlisting.

2. Written examination.

3. Skill test.

4. Interview.

Selected candidates will be assigned to the locations specified in the advertisement or to other locations designated by the office.

The salary and remuneration of selected employees will be provided according to the rates prescribed by the Government of Nepal.

According to the notice issued by Postal Officer Bikram Limbu, the dates, times and venues for subsequent examinations will be published later, along with the names of candidates selected during the preliminary shortlisting process.
