Judicial Service Commission Announces Written Examination Advertisement for District Judge
The Judicial Service Commission, Examination Division, has announced an advertisement for the internal open, open, and inclusive competitive written examinations for the post of District Judge. Inviting applications from eligible candidates for appointment in accordance with Article 149, Clause (2), Sub-clauses (b) and (c) of the Constitution of Nepal, the Commission published the notice on 2083/06/07.

Type of Examination and Examination Centre

The examination will consist of a written examination and an interview.

The examination will be conducted only in the Kathmandu Valley. Examination centres will be announced later through a separate notice.
Examination Fee and Payment Procedure

The examination fee is Rs. 2,000 for the Internal Open category and Rs. 2,000 for the Open category. Candidates applying under each inclusive category must pay an additional fee of Rs. 500.

The fee can be deposited through any branch of Rastriya Banijya Bank in Revenue Account No. 1000200010000, Office Code 218003501, under Revenue Heading No. 14224 (Examination Fee).
Application Deadline and Submission Location

Application Deadline: Within 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement notice, with an additional seven days allowed upon payment of double the application fee.

Application Submission Location: Judicial Council Secretariat, Ramshahpath.
Other Information
The date of the interview will be announced through a notice when the results of the written examination are published.
The salary for the post will be as per the prevailing pay scale. The duties to be performed while holding the post will be those prescribed for a District Judge under the prevailing law.
The required minimum qualifications and experience have been prescribed in accordance with the Constitution of Nepal.
