Application Call for Nepal Engineering Council Registrar Appointment

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has invited applications from qualified and interested Nepali citizens for the appointment of Registrar of the Nepal Engineering Council. As per the notice published on 2083/02/01, applications must be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice during office hours at the Infrastructure Construction and Transport Division of the Ministry, Singha Durbar.

Along with the application, the original voucher showing deposit of the application fee of Rs. 5,000 must be submitted. The amount should be deposited at Rastriya Banijya Bank Ltd., Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, in Revenue Account No. 1000100200010000, Revenue Code No. 14229, Office Code 337003501.

The application form can be obtained free of cost during office hours from the Infrastructure Construction and Transport Division of the Ministry, Singha Durbar.

Qualifications and Conditions for Candidates

Candidates applying for appointment to the post of Registrar of the Council, as specified in the Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055 and the Nepal Engineering Council Rules, 2057, must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must be a Nepali citizen.

  • Must have obtained at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university.

  • Must have at least ten years of work experience in the field of engineering in government or non-government bodies.

  • Must have completed 35 years of age and not exceeded 60 years of age.

  • Must not have been punished for corruption, rape, money laundering, human trafficking and transportation, drug trafficking, organized crime, passport misuse, kidnapping, offenses related to archaeological objects or protected wildlife, or any other criminal offense involving moral turpitude.

  • Must not have been blacklisted under the prevailing law.

  • Must not have obtained permanent residential permission from a foreign country.

  • Must not be working in an executive position in any non-governmental organization.

Documents to Be Submitted with the Application

  • A detailed personal bio-data, including educational qualification, work experience, contact address, email, telephone/mobile number, and home or office address, with the candidate’s signature at the end of each page.

  • Self-attested copies of Nepali citizenship certificate, educational qualification certificates, and documents confirming professional experience.

  • A Business Action Plan not exceeding 5,000 words, sealed in a separate envelope.

Other Provisions

If the last day for submission of the application falls on a public holiday, the application must be submitted within office hours on the following day. Information regarding accepted applications and subsequent procedural programs will be published on the Ministry’s website at http://www.mopit.gov.np/.

Shortlisted candidates must present their action plan. Candidates selected for the presentation and interview must submit the original certificates and documents submitted with the application before the interview.

For further information regarding this notice, applicants may contact the Infrastructure Construction and Transport Division of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Singha Durbar. If false documents are found to have been submitted, the Recommendation Committee may cancel the candidate’s application at any stage.
