About SaMi Programme:
Safer Migration (SaMi) Programme is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland. The program is implemented by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security and 156 participating local governments. Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the program on behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
Position: Position: Province Program Manager, Bagmati Province (1)
Job Description:
The Province Program Manager will be responsible for the quality assurance of the Safer Migration Programme in Bagmati Province. They will maintain excellent coordination and communication between all concerned stakeholders in federal, provincial, and local government for the effective execution of program activities. The role also involves engaging with province and local governments for the institutionalization of safer migration programs.
Requirements:
The candidate should have a Master's degree in Social Science, Public Administration, Development Studies, or a relevant field. They must have a minimum of 7 years of work experience in project/program implementation, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position/s. Additionally, they must be committed to gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction, and demonstrate sensitivity towards migrant workers and their families.
Duty Station:
The selected candidate will be based at Program Support Unit, Safer Migration Programme, Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation Nepal, Lalitpur, with about 70% of their time spent on field visits.
