Application Notice for Chairperson of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal
Government of Nepal, Ministry of Information and Communication, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, has published a notice inviting applications for the post of Chairperson of the Public Service Broadcasting Nepal (Sarbajanik Sewa Prasharan Nepal).
This notice has been published for eligible Nepali citizens interested in applying for the post of Chairperson of the Public Service Broadcasting Institution to submit applications with the following qualifications, required documents, and details.
1. Position Details

2. Required Qualifications
a. Must be a Nepali citizen.
b. Must have completed 35 years of age and must not exceed 60 years of age by the final date for application submission.
c. Must be of high moral character.
d. Must have passed at least a Bachelor’s Level from a recognized university and obtained at least 15 years of experience in journalism, humanities, management, marketing management, information technology, or engineering related to broadcasting.
e. Must not be a member of any political party at the time of appointment.
f. Must not be an office bearer, director, or editor of a mass communication institution at the time of appointment.
g. Must not have obtained a permanent residential permit or citizenship of any foreign country.
h. Must not have been convicted by a court for corruption, rape, gender-based violence, human trafficking and transportation, sale, distribution or transportation of narcotic drugs, money laundering, passport misuse, kidnapping, organized crime, or any criminal offense involving moral turpitude.
i. Must not be disqualified under prevailing law.
3. Documents to Be Attached with the Application
a. Application, application form, and self-declaration as per the attached format.
b. Copies of Nepali citizenship certificate and National Identity Card certificate.
c. Personal details, including qualifications and experience (bio data).
d. Copies of academic qualification certificates, including an equivalence certificate if the qualification is from a foreign educational institution.
e. Copies of documents showing the period of experience.
f. A sealed professional work plan of 3,000 to 5,000 words prepared on A4-size paper in Nepali or English.
g. Two recently taken passport-size photographs.
Note: The applicant’s name must be written on the cover page of the work plan. No identifying sign of the applicant should appear elsewhere. The academic qualification certificates and documents related to experience, among others, must be self-attested with the applicant’s signature.

5. Other Provisions
No action will be taken on applications that are not submitted properly or are not received within the deadline.
The authority to approve or reject applications will rest with the Ministry of Information and Communication.
6. Selection and Nomination Process
The selection and nomination process will be carried out on the basis of the relevant Act, rules, the Directive on Nomination of Office Bearers of Public Bodies Affiliated with the Ministry of Information and Communication, 2083, and the Procedure on Nomination of Office Bearers of Public Bodies Affiliated with the Ministry, 2083.
