Town Development Fund Announces Vacancy for Executive Director

The Town Development Fund (TDF) has invited applications from qualified Nepali citizens for appointment to its vacant Executive Director position.

The Executive Director Recommendation Committee published its first vacancy notice on 2083/06/12 and a second notice on 2083/06/21, inviting applications from candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility requirements.

Interested candidates must submit their applications to the Town Development Fund office at Phulchoki Mai Marg, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, within 21 days from the date of publication of the first notice.

If the application deadline falls on a public holiday, applications may be submitted on the next working day when the office reopens.

Minimum Educational Qualifications, Experience and Age Limit

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Qualification and Experience: Candidates must hold a master's degree in Economics, Management, Chartered Accountancy, or Engineering from a recognized university, with at least five years of experience in the relevant field. Alternatively, candidates holding a bachelor's degree in any of these disciplines must have at least seven years of relevant experience.

• Equivalency Requirement: Candidates whose only educational qualification is Chartered Accountancy must obtain an equivalency certificate from the legally designated authority.

• Age Limit: Applicants must have completed 35 years of age and must not exceed 54 years as of the application deadline.

Required Documents and Application Details

Candidates must submit the following documents:

1. A duly completed application form in the prescribed format (Schedule 10).

2. Certified copies of their Nepali citizenship certificate, educational qualifications, training certificates, and relevant work experience documents.

3. A self-declaration confirming that they are not disqualified under the applicable rules.

4. Two copies of a working paper incorporating a business plan, prepared in Nepali and not exceeding 5,000 words.

Business Plan Submission Requirements: Candidates must sign the reverse side of every page of the working paper. The two copies must be placed in a separate sealed envelope, with the candidate's full name and address clearly written on the outside.

Application Fee and Bank Details

Applicants must deposit an application fee of NPR 3,000 (three thousand rupees) into the designated bank account of the Town Development Fund and submit proof of payment.

Remuneration and Benefits

The salary and benefits of the selected Executive Director will be determined in accordance with the Town Development Fund Regulations, 2054.
