Bachelor in Data Science and Bachelor in Mathematical Sciences (Actuarial Science) Online Entrance Application - 2081
Tribhuvan University has opened admissions for the Bachelor's in Data Science program for the first time. Recently, the university released a notice announcing the four-year (eight semesters) program's admission process.
Interested students can apply regardless of the subjects they studied in classes 11/12, provided they have a final CGPA of 1.8 or higher. To study Data Science, students must pass the entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University. The dates for the written exam and interviews will be mentioned in a later notice.
Course Structure
The course, which totals 123 credit hours, includes theoretical, practical, project work, seminars, and internships. The course covers fundamental subjects of Math, Statistics, Computer Science, and Technology. It also includes topics related to Data Science such as Algorithms, AI, Machine Learning, Computer and Statistical Programming, Data Analysis, Database Systems, and Web Development.
According to the university, each chapter comprises three credit hours, with a provision of 48 credit hours for seminars, project work, and internships.

Admission, Fees, and Scholarships
The admission application for this academic program opened from 1st Shrawan. Out of the total capacity of 40 seats, 32 are open, and 8 are reserved for inclusive quotas.
The fee for this program is NPR 530,000.
The university will provide free scholarships to 10% of the students, including one merit-based scholarship for both a male and a female student in each semester.
