Kathmandu University and Crown Institute Invite Admissions for BIT Double Degree Program

Kathmandu University (KU) and Australia-based Crown Institute of Higher Education have opened admissions for the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) Double Degree Program. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering under KU School of Engineering has started the admission process for the 2026 academic session.
Under this program, students will be enrolled at both partner institutions. As per the program modality, students will study the first two years at Kathmandu University (KU) and the remaining two years at Crown Institute. If a student’s visa is refused by Australian immigration, the full four-year study will be conducted in Nepal at KU School of Engineering (KUSoE). Credit transfer will take place between both institutions at the end of each semester.
To be eligible for admission, Nepali or non-Nepali applicants must have completed +2 or an equivalent qualification in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry / Computer Science, and Mathematics). Applicants must have secured at least 50% in aggregate or a minimum 2.0 CGPA. The notice states that for an Australian student visa, applicants with strong academic records, English language proficiency, and those meeting financial criteria have higher prospects.
