Various Nepali Army-run Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya and schools have published an urgent notice inviting applications for student admission for the upcoming academic session 2083.
Applications have been invited for the sons and daughters of Nepali Army personnel of all ranks, including serving and ex-servicemen, as well as non-military applicants. For Shweta Tara Pre-Primary School, applications have been invited for the Pre-Primary (Play Group) level only for the children of Nepali Army personnel, for study in English medium in a disciplined environment.

Form Distribution and Registration
Form Distribution and Registration Period: From March 15, 2026 to April 1, 2026 (2082 Chaitra 1 to 2082 Chaitra 18), except public holidays, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Guardians may obtain the application form from the Principal’s Office of the respective college or school where they wish the student to study, or download it from the school website, and receive it after paying the prescribed fee in accordance with the rules.
Entrance Examination
Written Entrance Examination: Saturday, April 4, 2026 (2082 Chaitra 21), at 1:00 PM, at the respective college or school
For Play Group, there is no written entrance examination. For Class 1, selection will be through an assessment process.
To be admitted, applicants must pass the written entrance examination or assessment process, as applicable, be selected for the second stage according to merit order, and also pass the interview and general health checkup.
Minimum Educational Qualification
For admission, students must have studied in a school recognized by the Government of Nepal.
For Class 6, the student must have obtained at least 50 percent aggregate marks, with a minimum C+ grade or GPA 2.4, in the annual, half-yearly, second, or third terminal examination of Class 5 in 2082.
For Class 1, the student must have obtained at least 50 percent aggregate marks, with a minimum C+ grade or GPA 2.4, in the annual, half-yearly, second, or third terminal examination of UKG/SKG in 2082.
For the Pre-Primary level, the progress report must show that the child has passed all subjects according to the recognized standard.

Age Requirement
Age will be calculated as of April 14, 2026 (2083 Baisakh 1 BS).
For Class 6, the student must have completed 9 years and must not have exceeded 12 years.
For Class 1, the student must have completed 4 years and must not have exceeded 7 years.
For Shweta Tara Pre-Primary Sainik School, under the military category, a child applying for Play Group must have completed 2 years and must not have exceeded 2 years and 6 months.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

Mark Sheet: One certified copy of the mark sheet of the 2082 examination of Class 5 or UKG/SKG

Character Certificate: One certified copy of the character certificate mentioning age

Birth Registration Certificate: Two copies of the birth registration certificate certified by the local registrar

Photographs: Two recent photographs, one passport size and one auto size
For children of serving military personnel, the original recommendation letter certified by the concerned unit commander, clearly mentioning the child’s date of birth, must be submitted.
For children of ex-servicemen, one copy of the pension slip must be submitted.

Candidates who pass the final entrance process and are selected for admission must compulsorily submit the following to the Examination Section of the college before enrollment:

Other Provisions
Under the quota for army personnel of all ranks and college staff, the one couple, one child, one level policy will remain in force. Once one child of a beneficiary has received concession at one level, a second child of the same beneficiary will not be granted concession at that same level. However, an opportunity may be provided on payment of full fees equivalent to the non-military open group.
Children of military personnel who were martyred, those mentioned in the rules as entitled to facilities, and children with disabilities will also be provided the opportunity to study according to the applicable rules.
New admissions will be taken in Class 1 in both the military and non-military quotas at Vijeshwori Gyan Mandir and Ripumardini Sainik Mahavidyalaya.
Likewise, at Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya, Bardibas, a special scholarship arrangement has been made in Class 6 under the non-military quota for meritorious students from financially weak families of Madhesh Province.
