Overview

Institutional Background
Achham Multiple Campus was established in Mangalsen in 1991 AD (2048 BS) as a community campus. Its location in Achham district places it within Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal. The campus was created through local effort to address the higher education needs of Achham district. Before its establishment, many students from the region depended on institutions in Surkhet, Nepalgunj, Doti, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Kathmandu, other districts of Nepal, and abroad for higher studies.
Its academic history began with the I.Com program in 2048 BS. The BBS program received TU affiliation in 2062 BS, followed by the three-year B.Ed program in 2063 BS. Over time, the campus became associated with academic programs in education and management.

Teaching and Learning Approach
Achham Multiple Campus uses lecture-based teaching along with student-centered learning methods. Faculty members use discussion, interaction, directed studies, presentations, group and pair assignments, case studies, and project work as part of the teaching process.
The campus has provided six laptops to faculty members and uses multimedia projectors in teaching and learning. Teachers are oriented to use audio-visual materials, and the campus uses classroom technology to support academic delivery.
Under the Department of Management, students receive orientation for project work. Each student prepares fieldwork or project work reports related to the specialization course.
Under the Department of Education, role-play is used during micro-teaching. Students also take part in teaching practice in community schools, where they prepare teaching plans and teach under observation by subject teachers.

Optional mathematics and account classes are conducted for numerical skill development under elective options chosen by students. Students from social work, health, population, and finance are assigned group and individual fieldwork to connect subject learning with practical tasks.
The campus encourages students to form nonpolitical associations that organize programs and support teamwork and independent work. Students also take part in service-oriented activities, including health awareness programs, cleanliness programs, blood donation programs, yoga camps, and anti-drug, anti-tobacco, and anti-corruption campaigns.
Master’s level students receive orientation on research integrity and misconduct during thesis preparation. Moral and ethical slogans are placed on campus and in classrooms to keep students aware of ethical conduct.
