Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws (BA LL.B.)
The BA LL.B. is a five-year integrated undergraduate program combining humanities and legal studies. Its structure allows students to begin with subjects that establish social, political, economic, and legal context before moving into more specialized areas of law.
The curriculum includes Political Theory and Thoughts, Economics, History of Nepal, Sociology, General Principles of Law, legal reasoning, Legal English, Legal Nepali, International Relations and Diplomacy, criminal law, procedural law, constitutional law, human rights law, public international law, legal research, professional ethics, contract law, company law, administrative law, and jurisprudence.
Clinical education appears throughout the program rather than being confined to the final stage. Students undertake legal writing, community outreach, advocacy-related work, visits, trial and appellate advocacy, professional development activities, and dissertation work. Optional groups cover areas such as criminal law, business law, constitutional law, and environment and development law.
This curricular structure connects academic study with research, legal writing, case analysis, advocacy, and community-oriented work.
Master of Laws (LL.M.)
The LL.M. is a two-year postgraduate law program intended for graduates seeking advanced study in law. Its academic focus includes legal theory, research, specialized legal study, and dissertation work.
