Chandrakot Campus

Chandrakot Campus (चन्द्रकोट क्याम्पस, चन्द्रकोट, शान्तिपुर, गुल्मी) is a community campus established in 2009 AD (2066 BS) in Chandrakot Rural Municipality-4, Shantipur, Gulmi, Lumbini Province, Nepal. Affiliated with Tribhuvan University and supported by the University Grants Commission of Nepal, the campus runs bachelor-level programs in Management, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

It was started to expand access to higher education for students who could not continue their studies in larger cities such as Butwal, Palpa, and Kathmandu because of financial and social barriers. The campus has developed as a local option for university education, especially for students from the Chandrakot region and nearby communities.

The campus has also acknowledged that its financial condition makes it difficult to employ highly qualified teaching staff at scale and to build physical infrastructure such as a dedicated teaching block, library expansion, and sports facilities. Even so, the institution continues to operate as a local higher education center for the Chandrakot area.
