College of Natural Resource Management, Madichaur

College of Natural Resource Management (CNRM), Madichaur, Rolpa is a constituent college under the Faculty of Agriculture of Agriculture and Forestry University. Established on February 3, 2020, the college began regular classes on February 26, 2020.

CNRM is located at Madichaur in Rolpa, Lumbini Province. Its undergraduate academic program is the four-year B.Sc. Ag under AFU. The campus brings together classrooms, academic facilities, subject laboratories, field-learning spaces, livestock and fisheries structures, and cultivable land for agriculture-related study and practical work.

The college is situated in Madi Rural Municipality, Rolpa, with its address given as Madi Rural Municipality-7, Madichaur, Rolpa, Lumbini Province.

The area represents Nepal's mid-hill ecology at an elevation of 995 metres above sea level. Madichaur can be reached by road throughout the year. The college is about 120 km from Bhalubang on the East-West Highway and 9 km from Libang, the district headquarters.

Its location provides an agricultural setting alongside cultivable land and field-based academic facilities. The surrounding area also reflects the cultural diversity and natural landscape of Rolpa.

Affiliation and Academic Program

CNRM operates as a constituent college under the Faculty of Agriculture of Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), a state-owned technical university in Nepal.

The college conducts the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program. The B.Sc. Ag at College of Natural Resource Management, Madichaur, Rolpa runs for four years across eight semesters.

Admission is determined according to the entrance examination result published by AFU. Course content and delivery follow the AFU Bulletin.

The college has a four-storey academic building with eight rooms. Academic and student facilities include classrooms, a seminar hall, a library, internet access, drinking water, power backup, and a playground.

The college has five permanent faculty members, eight administrative staff members, and five contract-based support staff.

Faculty members from the central university, other universities, and other colleges are also engaged on a course basis. Guest lecturers and subject specialists are also planned for academic sessions.

This staffing arrangement combines permanent faculty with course-based academic support for different areas of the agriculture program.
