  • Picking up number concepts
  • Making simple comparisons like big-small, tall-short, etc.
  • Recognizing and naming colours
  • Outings to teach concepts related to the environment

Socio-Emotional Development

We strive to develop good habits, good behaviour, and social skills like greeting others, using words like ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘sorry’, etc. This also involves teaching children self-care activities like going to the toilet, washing hands properly and independently, and eating food with minimum spilling.

Our classrooms are vibrant spaces where children engage in:

  • Arranging building blocks
  • Joining Lego pieces
  • Creating designs with clay
  • Threading beads using plastic needles
  • Painting with a thick brush, fingers, cotton, wool, etc.
  • Drawing their own pictures

Our Guiding Principles

We firmly believe that:

  • Children possess unique mental powers according to their developmental stage.
  • Each child differs from the other.
  • The first six years are critical to a child's growth.
  • Every child is gifted, and a stimulating environment brings forth their talents.
  • Non-formal interaction makes children outspoken and smart.

Galaxy Public School Scholarship Program

Galaxy Public School firmly believes in the empowerment of deserving students through quality education. We are proud to launch various scholarship programs aimed at the upliftment of underprivileged yet meritorious students, adhering to our guiding principle of identifying talent and providing them an opportunity to shine.

Scholarships for Underprivileged Students

Over the years, our scholarships have made a significant difference in the lives of many underprivileged students. We believe that a student's financial condition should not be a barrier to their educational progress and, therefore, provide scholarships to deserving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Scholarships for Outstanding Achievers

In addition to supporting underprivileged students, our scholarship program extends to outstanding students in our higher secondary section. We acknowledge and reward academic excellence and outstanding achievements in various fields.

Annual Scholarships and Grants

Every year, we provide scholarships and grants to deserving students, acknowledging their merit on our Annual Day with various awards. These awards are a testament to their hard work and dedication, motivating them to strive for higher academic excellence.

Scholarships for Girls from Remote Areas

Galaxy Public School is committed to promoting girls' education, especially from the remote districts of Nepal. We provide financial assistance to such deserving girls and facilitate their admission in schools of their choice.

Eligibility

Scholarships are typically awarded to students from classes VI to XII, following a thorough assessment of their academic achievements and financial needs.

Through these initiatives, Galaxy Public School strives to make quality education accessible to all, ensuring that every deserving student gets an equal opportunity to excel in their chosen path.

Galaxy Public School Examination Structure

Galaxy Public School follows a comprehensive examination structure to evaluate students' progress and enhance their learning experience. Our academic year is divided into three terms, each spanning 80 working days.

Weekly Tests

A unique feature of our academic program is the conduct of weekly tests at the end of each week. These tests cover one or two chapters of any major subject taught during the week. The aim of these tests is to ensure students comprehend the lessons taught in class and to help them grasp key concepts.

Mid-Term Examinations

Mid-Term Examinations are held midway through each term, covering the syllabus taught over 40 working days. Each of these exams lasts 90 minutes, and they are conducted thrice a year, covering all major subjects. These examinations are designed to evaluate whether a student revises the lessons taught and strives to improve their grades.

Terminal Examinations

Terminal examinations are conducted at the end of each term, consisting of three rounds. Each exam carries 100 marks and covers the lessons taught during the respective term.

Continuous Assessment and Feedback

In addition to these exams, we conduct regular assessments to provide feedback and improve teaching methods. We believe in continuous assessment, and hence, we track students' performance on a day-to-day basis.

Subsidiary Subjects Testing

Before the major subjects examinations, tests on subsidiary subjects such as handwriting, spelling, science and computer practicals, speaking and listening, arts and crafts etc. are conducted. These tests are important to ensure holistic development in students.

Promotion Policy

The promotion of a student to the next class or eligibility to take Board exams depends upon their satisfactory performance in all the exams conducted in an academic session. The final result is prepared based on the marks obtained in mid-term tests, terminal exams, subsidiary and weekly tests.

Parental Feedback

A comprehensive written report containing test results and examination outcomes is provided to parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and ability to keep pace with the class curriculum.

Note: All examinations (excluding Nepali & Social Studies) are conducted in English.

Our robust examination system ensures a continuous and comprehensive evaluation of students, promoting a culture of regular learning and improvement.
