Overview

Kolhuwa Multiple Campus was established on 30th Shrawan 2066 BS as an educational extension of Kumarwarti Secondary School, aiming to provide bachelor level education in the Kolhuwa area. A founding meeting led to the formation of an ad hoc committee, initiating the process for campus operation. On 11th Ashoj 2067 BS (2010 AD), the campus received affiliation from Tribhuvan University under the name Nanda Bhauju Bahumukhi Campus, marking the beginning of its academic journey.

It is a community-based college located in Kholuwa, Parasi district of Nepal. It is affiliated with Tribhuvan University and recognized by the University Grants Commission of Nepal. It offers four years’ full-time Bachelor's Degree programs in Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS).

Kolhuwa Multiple Campus Building

Due to various considerations, the campus was officially renamed Kolhuwa Bahumukhi Campus on 16th Chaitra 2069 BS, as approved by the Planning Division of Tribhuvan University. The institution operated within the premises of Kumarwarti Secondary School from 2066/67 to 2074 BS. Since Bhadra 2074 BS, classroom activities have been held in the newly constructed building, which was funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Situated 10 kilometers south of Danda Bazaar on the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi, the campus is located near the banks of the Narayani River.

It serves students residing in Kawasoti and Madhyabindu municipalities, particularly from communities impacted by river erosion and wildlife threats, and who have limited access to state facilities. Kolhuwa Multiple Campus, established through a community initiative, has played a significant role in uplifting the physical and educational standards of socially and economically marginalized populations.

Message from the Campus Chief

Kolhuwa Multiple Campus was established in 2067 BS in the heart of Kolhuwa, located in central Nepal’s Nawalpur district. With financial support and grants from the University Grants Commission beginning in 2070 BS, the campus transitioned to conducting classes in its dedicated building, facilitating both academic and physical development.

Among community campuses in the Nawalpur area of Nawalparasi, Kolhuwa Multiple Campus holds a prominent position. Despite challenges posed by the Narayani River and regional natural adversities, the campus has remained active in extending access to higher education among highly marginalized groups, including Bote, Majhi, Tharu, Dalit, and other underserved communities.

Looking ahead, the campus is developing plans to introduce educational programs that align with the demands and needs of the 21st century. Currently, only the Management stream is offered at the undergraduate level. The institution acknowledges the need to enhance the quality of its ongoing academic programs by adopting technology-integrated teaching methods and research-based learning strategies. Short-term and long-term policies are being developed to meet these goals.

Education is a vital pillar of human life and a foundation for societal transformation and development. Kolhuwa Multiple Campus is committed to making higher education accessible and affordable while promoting self-employment through entrepreneurial skills among graduates. We are confident that this campus will become a cornerstone for academic and holistic development in the region.

We hope to collaborate with the Nepal Public Campus Association and continue receiving constructive support—financial, infrastructural, and moral—from local bodies, provincial and federal governments, non-governmental organizations, and social workers alike.
