Overview
Maharshi Valmiki Campus (महर्षि वाल्मीकि क्याम्पस, गौर, रौतहट) was established in 2006 AD (2063 BS) as a public higher educational institution in Gaur Municipality, Gaur, Rautahat, Madhesh Province, Nepal. It is affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU) and approved by the University Grants Commission of Nepal. The campus offers bachelor-level study in the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The campus also has a sister institution, Maharshi Valmiki Secondary School, which is affiliated with NEB for the +2 level in Science, Management, and Education. Along with its academic role, the campus receives financial support and aid from Gaur Municipality, the Ministry of Social Development, Madhesh Province, and local citizens.

Scholarships are available for Dalit students, Muslim students, girls, persons with disabilities, martyrs’ families, and students from extremely weak economic backgrounds.

The campus offers the Bachelor of Arts (BA), a four-year full-time TU-affiliated program. Tribhuvan University introduced the four-year BA course from the academic year 2076/077 under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The program follows TU rules, guidelines, annual examinations, and the TU academic calendar. Admission eligibility includes students who have secured at least D+ in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12, or those who have completed Intermediate, Proficiency Certificate, or 10+2 level in Humanities, Science, or Management from Tribhuvan University or another board or university recognized by TU.
