Namgyal Secondary School, established in 1988, has made significant strides in the field of education. Initially set up as a middle-level educational institution, it has expanded to offer senior secondary education. This growth was made possible with the support from the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) under His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and the financial backing from SOS Kinderdorf International for the construction of a new complex.
Educational Evolution
In 1993, under the leadership of Mr. Wangdu Phuntsok, the school saw a pivotal upgrade to a senior secondary level by April 1995. It now provides Commerce and Humanities courses for grades XI and XII, while students interested in Science are encouraged to join the Central School for Tibetans in Mussoorie, India.
