Admission Guidelines

At National College, we ensure a fair and rigorous admission process to select the best aspiring minds. Admission to our college requires applicants to undergo the Kathmandu University School of Arts’ Admission Test (KUSAAT), followed by an interview. Here are the key details you need to know:

1. Kathmandu University School of Arts’ Admission Test (KUSAAT)

KUSAAT is a 90-minute written entrance exam conducted by the Kathmandu University School of Arts (KUSOA). This crucial test applies to students who are applying to programs offered by Kathmandu University School of Arts, National College, Dhumbarahi, and St. Xaviers College.

2. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for National College must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a 10+2 or equivalent degree in any discipline
  • Secure a minimum aggregate of 45% or a minimum 2.0 GPA, with a minimum grade of D+ in all subjects
  • For CBSE (India) students, a minimum of 45% in aggregate marks is mandatory
  • For Advanced Level students, a minimum of Grade D in three subjects is required
  • All other streams must comply with the Kathmandu University policy
  • Students awaiting Class XII results can apply for provisional admission but must provide proof of passing within 15 days of the result publication
  • Candidates waiting to improve grades in non-graded subjects (maximum of 2 subjects) can apply for provisional admission. However, they must submit their improved grades during the Kathmandu University registration process.

3. KUSAAT Test Structure

The KUSAAT examination consists of four sections designed to assess the applicants' overall aptitude and knowledge:
