The School of Business (SOB) at Pokhara University is one of the leading business schools in Nepal, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in business administration. The school offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs, designed to provide students with practical skills and knowledge in various areas of business administration.
MBA Program: The MBA program is designed to be completed over six trimesters and consists of 27 courses with a total of 66 credit hours. The program includes foundation, analytical, core and functional courses, integrative courses, concentration, and elective courses, two thematic graduate seminars, and three workshops. The program aims to provide students with a deep understanding of business practices, including strategic management, finance, marketing, human resource management, and operations management. Students also undertake an Internship Project during the fifth trimester to gain practical experience.
BBA Program: The BBA program is structured in eight semesters, and a student needs to complete 120 credit hours of coursework, project work, and internship for graduation. The program aims to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in various areas of business administration. The program comprises foundation, core, concentration, elective courses, project work, and internship. Graduates from all disciplines are eligible to join the program.
BBA–BI Program: The BBA–BI program is a four-year program that includes foundation, core, concentration, elective courses, project work, and internship. The program is structured in eight semesters, and a student needs to complete 120 credit hours of coursework, project work, and internship for graduation. The program focuses on providing students with a solid foundation in business administration, along with an in-depth understanding of the banking and insurance sectors.
Medium of Instruction:
The medium of instruction and examination for these programs is English. The school places great emphasis on language proficiency, as English is the language of international business. Students are expected to have a good command of English to succeed in these programs.
