Overview

Sinam Multiple Campus was established in 2065 BS (2008 AD) and is located in Sirijangha-1, Taplejung. Since its inception, this community campus has provided higher education to students who might otherwise not have access to it. SMC is affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU), it offers two undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)

Students here come from different villages, backgrounds, and economic situations. Some walk long distances to attend their lectures. For many families, this campus represents hope for their children’s future. Over the years, it has expanded in numbers and mindset, adapting slowly to digital systems with help from national programs like NEHEP and the University Grants Commission (UGC) support.

Academic Programs

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

The BEd program is aimed at students who want to teach or work in education-related fields. Lessons cover everything from managing a classroom to how young children learn. Students also learn about policies, ethics, and leadership. A key part of the course is practice teaching, which allows students to step into real classrooms and apply what they’ve learned.

Most graduates work in local schools, education offices, or social organizations. For many, this is not just a job—it’s a way to contribute to their communities.

Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)

The BBS program helps students understand how businesses operate. Courses include:

  • Basics of accounting and auditing

  • Human behavior in organizations

  • Buying, selling, and marketing strategies

  • Office operations and supply chain systems

  • Planning business activities and decisions

Students work in teams, discuss real-life problems, and learn how to communicate ideas. Many choose this path to later work in finance, run family businesses, or begin new ventures.

Admission Requirements and Process

Enrolling in the Sinam Multiple Campus is simple and accessible. Students must collect and fill out the application form from the campus office. Once all documents are submitted, the process moves quickly. New students often attend a short orientation before classes begin.

The documents required include:

  • SEE results and certificates

  • +2 transcript and certificates

  • Recent photos (passport size)

  • Citizenship copy (front and back)

  • Migration certificate (original, for TU registration)

  • Transfer certificate if changing colleges

College Life and Learning Environment

The rhythm of daily life at Sinam Multiple Campus is steady. Mornings begin with quiet readings, then lectures and group activities fill the day. Discussions are common—inside classrooms and under the trees. BEd students rehearse teaching methods, while BBS students plan business activities.

Despite limited resources, the environment is sincere. Students support one another and form strong bonds. Everyone understands that they’re here with a purpose.
