Overview
Uttarpani Technical School (UTS) was established in 1980 as a rural technical school under the umbrella of the Technical Education Directorate of National Education Committee. It is located in Uttarpani, Dhankuta district of Nepal. It is affiliated to Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training and offers various technical education such as Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science), Diploma in Agriculture (Veterinary Science), JTA-Plant Science and Veterinary JTA.
The physical infrastructure of school was developed through the joint co-operation of the Government of Nepal and Overseas Development Agency (ODA). In the beginning, UTS started 7+3 TSLC program and then changed the 7+3 TSLC program to 10+2 TSLC program in 1992. Now It has also started 15 months TSLC training in Livestock and Agriculture on a private basis.
VISION:
Uttarpani Technical School will be an excellent agricultural training center for Production of Lower and Middle-Level manpower in Nepal.
MISSION:
Uttarpani Technical School will produce basic and middle-level workforce through quality & demand driven training to school dropouts and SLC/TSLC graduates.
GOALS:
To Ensure quality training and Promote entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities, Maintain qualified staff, Ensure maximum participation of target population, Increase income-generating activities for sustainability, Ensure the involvement of line agencies in technical education and Maintain school premises.
