Eligibility
Eligibility: Applicants must have completed 10+2 in business or commerce, or an equivalent course from a board or university recognized by Tribhuvan University. Applicants who studied Mathematics or Economics as a full paper at the 10+2 level are also covered under the BBS eligibility wording used in the TU admission support material.
Applicants must also meet any other entry requirements or criteria prescribed by the Faculty Board or the campus.
Course Structure
The BBS curriculum includes compulsory courses, core business courses, and concentration courses. The compulsory and core areas include Business English, Business Statistics, Microeconomics for Business, Business Communication, Macroeconomics for Business, Business Law, Financial Accounting and Analysis, Cost and Management Accounting, Principles of Management, Fundamentals of Marketing, Fundamentals of Financial Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, Business Environment and Strategy, Taxation in Nepal, Entrepreneurship, Business Research Methods, and Foundation of Financial Systems.
In the fourth year, students study Entrepreneurship, three concentration courses, Business Research Methods, and the final project. Concentration areas include Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing.
Examination and Project Work
The BBS program follows TU’s annual examination system. Final evaluation is conducted through annual examinations under the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Tribhuvan University.
Students must meet the required attendance rule to appear in annual examinations. The BBS curriculum specifies a minimum of 70 percent attendance in classes held. Students must also pass the required theory, practical, and project work components separately where applicable.
The final project is an academic requirement in the fourth year. Students complete field work, prepare a project report in the prescribed format, and submit it for evaluation.
