Eligibility

Students applying for admission to the BBS program must have successfully completed 10+2 in business/commerce or an equivalent course from a Higher Secondary School Board, Tribhuvan University, or another university or board recognized by Tribhuvan University.

Applicants must also meet any other entry requirements or criteria prescribed by the Faculty Board or the campus.

Course Objectives

The BBS program aims to develop students into competent managers for different sectors of organized activity. It gives students broad knowledge of business concepts and practical skills connected with the operation and management of organizations.

The program focuses on building conceptual knowledge of business and administration, developing a general management perspective, supporting responsible business practice, and preparing students for higher studies in management.

It also introduces students to entrepreneurship and research-based study through business courses and final project work.

Final Project Work

Final project work is an academic requirement in the fourth year of the BBS program. Students complete fieldwork and study an organization during the time fixed by the campus or college.

After fieldwork, students prepare a project report in the format prescribed by the Faculty of Management. The report is submitted to the college or campus for evaluation and may also be presented before the class or faculty members.

The project report is evaluated by internal and external examiners appointed by the research committee of the respective campus or college. A final viva-voce examination is conducted by the research committee.

Attendance and Evaluation

The final evaluation of BBS students is conducted through the annual examination system of Tribhuvan University.

Students must maintain at least 70 percent attendance in the classes actually held to qualify for annual examinations. A student is not allowed to appear in the second-year final examination without first appearing in the first-year final examination.

Students must pass theoretical, practical, and project work components separately where such components apply.

Graduation Requirements

To complete the BBS program, students must pass 19 courses of 1950 marks and submit a final project report of 50 marks. They must also pass theory and practical components separately where applicable.

Completion of the BBS program must take place within the time limit prescribed by Tribhuvan University.
